Joshua West returns with Charity Holiday single, "Every Year"
"Every Year" to benefit Callie Golden Fund

Greensboro, December 14, 2011
: North Carolina indie musician, Joshua West, today announced the release of a new charity single, "Every Year," to benefit the Callie Golden Fund.

Callie is a NC child who is battling Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) and requires numerous medical specialists and custom-made equipment.

"I have been working on new material for several years, and felt this Holiday Season was a good time to test the waters with a release," said Joshua. "The Golden family is very dear to my heart, and the decision to donate all profits from the sales of "Every Year" to the Callie Golden Fund was a given. During this season of giving, I wanted to do something to spur others to do the same- give."

- OPENED FOR DELBERT MCCLINTON 09.12.08

I got the call about an hour and a half before i as needed to go on stage. That gave me just enough time to get dressed, pack my guitar and get there. I had to use the valet service, just so I could get up on stage in time.

I actually got a great response from the crowd for my original material. I guess that is the difference between people showing up to listen to music and the typical club where you are the jukebox.

Now the pressure is on to get my album finished so that when I play these shows I actually have a current representation of my music to offer.

It was the first time that I actually had the crowd break into applause after I had left the stage as I was making my way to the door. Great feeling!
